Kendal Road Baptist Church

Members' Commitment

As members of God's family in Kendal Road Baptist Church, in dependence upon the Holy Spirit and in commitment to Jesus Christ, we resolve :

TO LIVE	lives worthy of Jesus Christ (Eph 4 v 1-2, Phil 1 v 27, Col 1 v 10) in love and harmony with each other and all people (John 13 v 34-35, 1 John 4 v 12.)
TO CARE	for one another (1 Cor 12 v 25-26, Rom 12 v 12, James 2 v 14-16) and to pray regularly for each other (Eph 6 v 18, Coloss 4 v 2-3)
TO MEET	regularly with one another for worship, teaching, fellowship, encouragement and sharing of the Lord's Supper (Acts 2 v 42, Rom 14 v 19, Heb 10 v 25, I Cor 11 v 17ff),
TO BE INVOLVED	in the work of the Church locally, nationally, and internationally (Acts 1 v 8, 2 Cor 8 v 18-19)
TO SUPPORT REGULARLY	the Church at home and abroad in private prayer; and to use what opportunities are available for corporate prayer (Acts 2 v 5, Phil 1 v 2-6)
TO SPEND TIME	daily reading the Bible and putting its teaching into practice (Psalm 1 v 2, 19 v 7-9, 119 v 97ff, James 1 v 22-25)
TO GIVE	responsibly, regularly, proportionately and sacrificially to the work of the Church in recognition of God's goodness (1 Cor 16 v 2, 2 Cor 9 v 7)
TO ACCEPT	personal responsibility for the management and care of the Church by attending members' meetings (Rom 12 v 4-8)
TO DO OUR UTMOST	by personal invitation, hospitality, and visitation to introduce others to Christ (Matth 28 v 19, 1 Peter 4 v 9, 3 John v 8)
